Olivia D.A. Maxwell is the new Executive Director for On the Rise Financial Center in Atlanta, GA. Olivia is excited about reimagining the next level for On the Rise and curating key partnerships that will enhance the development and sustainability of Atlanta’s historic west side community and the greater Atlanta communities overall.
Her determination and positivity are great assets in forming strategic alliances that benefit the residents as she upholds the reciprocal relationship between On the Rise and the citizens. Working closely with Equifax and Arthur Blank Family Foundation, Olivia takes a collaborative approach to advocacy, working strategically with internal and external executives, community members, clergy leaders, and academia, with the goal of enhancing and developing sustainable initiatives that allow Atlanta’s citizens to “live their best financial life”.
Olivia has held senior-level positions within Healthcare, the Federal Government, and has over fifteen years of experience as a Business Development and Human Resource Consultant within Boston, Massachusetts, and Atlanta, Georgia.
Olivia’s dedication to the community is extensive. She volunteers as the Public Relations Officer for the DeKalb County Police Department PAL Unit, she is a volunteer Chaplain for both DeKalb County and Atlanta Police Departments, a board member for the DeKalb County Police Alliance, a member of the National Black MBA Association of Atlanta, and a member of the Concern Black Clergy of Atlanta.
A native of Boston Massachusetts, Olivia is an avid researcher, an ordained Pastor, a proud mother of two, a wife to Charles Maxwell, a compassionate agent for transformation, and a relentless community advocate. With a heart for restoration and reconciliation, Olivia strives to shine a light on the areas of inequality and aims to secure pathways to a more sustainable, fulfilling, and equitable citizenry for all.
